Richard, thanks for the comeback. I did try the Treasure Island Museum in the search for Vanderporten, but I came to a dead end on the search. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can give me a lead on this guy. With all my dowsing expertise I still can not swear that he found the coin in question, but I sure would like to know where he found it. If he didn't find it where I think it was found then I will have to look for someone else. I sure don't intend to put a shovel in the ground until I have the confirmation that I am looking for. 72 tons of silver certainly is enticing but these empty holes can get expensive. I can't take Sam's advice and start digging randomily. I enjoy reading your post. It appears that you have spent a lot of time in putting this altogether. Good luck in your endeavors. Al
