Tracker, there is a host of legends in this southern Arizona and southern New Mexico area. I have had some people say the mountains at the nook of the road between Apache and Douglas was where the real skeleton canyon was located? Ketch 22. I will never refute what another person says, because all I know is what I personally know and what others have shared in Magazines and published books. I did what work I have done simply because NERS picked up the earth rejection of cache 99 fine noble metals. The larger caches are dominant and many of these caches are very difficult to identify with the larger more dominant caches present. Sometimes it is a nut house to figure out, just as it must be in the Philippines? When caches are found by a Technology, one loses the cloak and dagger exciting history to this event sometimes, unless there is written history about this particular spot. Everything that NERS has found seems to fit the legend by the caches location. But when one considers that this double double cross took in a large area of possibility including Silver City I am in awe of trying to make sense of this event historically. The written history of Skeleton Canyon reads as stew of the alleged realities that can not be tied together certainly by me. I did talk to a historian that he says that he will eventually write a book about the Skeleton Canyon event. He flatly said I was wrong with my assertion on several points. So did the historians on the Sir Francis Drake cipher. Perhaps so, I am far from the arguing point now. I am perfectly willing for the earth to reveal the truth of the source of these caches IF this evidence is contained within the cache. I realize that a host of nasty bandits from the Spanish mining period through the 1900s have operated in this area and that it is impossible, in my opinion, to nail down who placed a cache where with out digging it up first. Someday, I will source out the boarder country enigmas that I have when I can spend some time down there again. Some how, the Skeleton canyon event gathered up a huge cloud of legend like the Lost Dutchman mine did. To me, it becomes very difficult to source out what is really true about the event. I do believe that Hunt was the major king pin that disposed of the big Treasure that remained. Whether or not this was from Monterrey Mexico will have to see the glitter in the sun to determine. The NERS process found a cache that was later stolen by deceit. The position of this cache made excellent sense to me. The spot was on Hughs's private property very near Shakespear New Mexico. He have dubbed it the missing Billy Grounds and Hughs missing $80,000. Was it really? I can't say because I wasn't there and I had never been on that land personally. This pin point was instrument data like the Drake enigma was. The energy was again normal at this particular site in New Mexico, which means the Bird Is Gone. But on these other treasures down in that part of the country. There is no rush, because Treasures never get up and marches out of the ground by themselves. Tracker, I am not familiar with the story you told, but it does sound intriguing enough to check out. I certainly would pursue any testimonies that lite your wick because adventure has to be 90% of Treasure Hunting. Who knows what the truth really is about the Skeleton Canyon event? I believe the old timer was telling the truth in his experience. He is reliving it again through your youth. It would profit him not, to tell a lie. He might have found something important? Good Luck with your plans. Richard
