Las Cruces Post, NM: 1863 to 1865 - too late
Mesilla Post, NM: 1861 and 1863 - too late
Two New Mexico possibilities here - 1) Fort Thorn near Hatch, NM, which was suffering heavily from sickness in '58-and '59, when it was abandoned. 2) Fort Fillmore at Mesilla, NM. The best choice - closer to the Gila River than Fort Bliss.
Somebody else can look into Arizona forts.
