How to Get to Batchler's Story on Adam's 1st Name

1. Go to the Library of Congress American Memory site at:

http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/collections/finder.html

2. Click on "manuscripts" on the right side of the page.

3. Enter "Lost Adams Diggins" into the search field and click search.

3. Click on the one return that matches this search item.

This will get you to Batchler's story. It would be great if several of you would read this and post your thoughts on its contents. There seems to be some firm statements that Adams was not at Fort San Rafael in New Mexico in August, 1864, as he was claiming if Captian Sanborn was for real.
