Doc, I believe you will find the book "Some Dreams Die" by the late George Thompson will be a wealth of information about the towns and settlements along the overland trail. Perhaps this book is at your library?

It lists Utah's stage roads to ghost towns and lost treasures plus a little on the rail road construction camps to boot. I loved reading it. You could tell that Thompson's heart was realy in the fascination of the early formation history of Utah.

Perhaps this will be a more intimate book then just common information which may be simply posted on the inter-net somewhere? Richard
