Callahan Co. TX Treasure
April 02, 2001 at 16:41:03

Back in the 70's on my uncle's ranch south of Clyde and the ghost town of Oplin a group came in and searched for either the Spider Rock Treasure or an Indian treasure. All I can remember is that the treasure was buried and an underground stream was diverted over it. The searchers dug at the supposely right angle to miss the water but didn't. They spent a considerable amount over several years with drilling and pumping equipment before they gave up. My uncle is now dead and I am looking for any info on this for putting in the family genealogy.
