Pam, if others don't give you better information, this may be a good lead for you?
I have been following the Spider Rocks activities for years. I do know of Armold digging around Clyde in the late 1800s and allegedly finding gold there.
But about your families activities in Clyde I personally haven't heard about this dig.
Dr. Duane K. Hale was located at the University of Oklahoma, American Indian Institute, 555 Constitution Ave, Norman, Oklahoma 73037-0005.
Dr. Hale knows most of the key Spider Rocks people, that's how he got the physical evidence to wrote a four part Spider Rocks series in Treasure Magazine December 1989 through March 1990.
It is very possible he may have the information you seek OR whom to contact in your regard. Try to phone him at the University if he is still there, or write him a letter. Maybe the University will give you his e-mail address?
Here are some other addresses of Spider Rocks principles to contact that were listed in the published article:
Robert Kiker, Rt,2 Box 1073, Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Johnney Terrell, P.O. Box 296, Elm Mott, TX 76640
Good Luck
Richard
