15 tons of Confederate Silver
April 10, 2001 at 11:23:45

I have recently been informed of a cache right here in my hometown in southwestern PA. Apparently, during the Civil War a shipment of unmarked silver was on its way to the Philadelphia Mint when a band of confederates stole the loot. Eventually the silver was placed in a cave about 2 miles north of my home town and the cave entrance was sealed. Does anyone have information concerning this silver and if so how would I research it. This is all I know and obviously it is not enough information to start a search. Would anyone experienced be willing to be my partner. I know these woods like the back of my hand. If anyone can help me please respond.
