There are traces of gold near Burnett across to the Marble Falls, Texas area. As a hobby, some people pan for the gold in the small creeks, but not much to be found. Evidently, there is not enough gold for a commercial mining operation, and what is found is as a "by product" when mining for other metals and etc. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas)
