I have been diving the Mantancero the past 4 years and also have a few crosses, glass gemstones, other odds and ends. The wrecksite is located about 60 miles south of Cancum and about 2 miles north of Tulum. I did publish 2 stories on this site in my "Treasure Quest" magazine May/June 1997 and May/June 1998. Bob Marx first located the site back in the late 50's and his partner Clay Blair,Jr. wrote "Diving For Pleasure and Treasure'-World Publishing Co., 2231 West 110th st., Cleveland, OH 1960 on the complete salvage operation.
