Although the'Madagascar'is reputed to have taken the 'clipper ship' route from Melbourne to England, somewhat surprisingly, Ben Cropp (of tv and dive book fame,if you don`t know him) states in 'Our Rugged Coast'? that he searched for her on the Great Barrier Reef. Since Ben usually does considerable research (he located the Pandora), does he think the 'Madagascar was taking the alternate route to England,via India??
