All you need to do is review the various postings on this TreasureNet forum to realize the confusion and lack of consistent information surrounding the so-called LUE (always referred to as one capitalized word, like GOD, out of respect). The only thing everyone agrees to is that the mystical map leading to it can be had darn near everywhere you look. But -- just what is the map leading to?

As I mentioned in a previous posting, the LUE has been linked to the Annunaki, the Atlanteans, the Aztecs, Coronado, the Nazis, the New World Order, the Mormons, the Masons, and now the Peraltas (boy, they're in tall cotton, eh?). I'm reasonably sure that all these different groups are each associated with treasure of some sort in North America, but why have they all linked to the LUE? Maybe because the LUE has no basis unto itself and these other treasures are just helping to fill a vacuum.

I'm not a total cynic -- I'm curious, hopefully open-minded and I'd love to find out more about this thing. Lately, however, I'm starting to believe something an aquaintance of mine told me about the LUE. This is a man who knew von Meuller well and still has contact with his family (sorry, JW, I won't reveal his name). He told me the whole LUE story was a slam dunk hoax. Yes, Rob, I was also told von Mueller's sense of humor was fully developed. Like the rest of us, I hope this isn't the case, but it's as good an explanation as any other that I've run across.
