Treasureinblood. fisher 8x is a fair machine, but if you're going to spend that much on a detector, I would spend it on a minelab EXCALIBER(underwater detector). In my view nothing is better unless you go all out for a Pulse Star ll, from Kellyco in Florida. Check the web site, www. kellyco.com. I'll seee what info I can find on the wreck in your area. The best place for you to look, would be the micro film section in your local library. Check the years 70, 71, 72. Find out what date is on the old coins. It will give you a good start on trying to find out what ship and the nationality of the ship, Old Pirate.
