copper nails

February 21, 2003 at 12:59:09

I have found a pile of bricks underwater which appears to be the ballast of a ship wreck in Belize. Plus I have recently come across some copper nails one is about 1/4" thick and 3" long and square in cross section the other two are about 1/2" thick 5" long round in cross section.
I have been told by a local fisherman that some lead sheathing was found on the site a few years ago.
Any ideas?
