Hey I was just looking for info on this ship & wreck thereof too. My Great Great grandfather or something like that (Last name Moore, I believe and I think he was only 27) was the chief mate at the time of the loss of the vessel and apparently was drowned ferrying passengers ashore in a lifeboat. Apparently after several successfull trips to and from shore I think the lifeboat was apparently pulled under the keel or something and he hit his head and was knocked out of the boat and drowened. My mom would know better so I can ask if you like... also I would love to see any available info on it myself
