First 1800's Silver
May 06, 1998 at 11:34:06
Monday I hunted an 1880's foundation. It was my first day at the site, and after an hour I had dug a 1907 Barber quarter (G4) and $1.47 clad. Monday night I hunted a vacant lot in town and got a 1947 rosie, a 1934 merc. and a couple of wheats. This morning I went back to the 1880 foundation and after a few minutes I found a 1946 rosie. After digging it, I walked about ten feet and at the base of a birch tree lying right on the surface was an 1894 O Barber quarter (VG8). Did'nt have much time to hunt today, but I think this is going to be my little hot spot!
