Matt, I searched and old farm house last week, which was built around the same time frame as the one you just searched. I also found silver from the 1940-50's. But when I took a friend with me later, he found 2 Barber dimes by digging supposed trashy signals! We use XLT's, and silver reads in the 82 and up range, well his barbers at first gave a signal in the 40's!! We both continued to dig all signals, and had good luck. Those older coins will be very deep. Go back and dig those iffy signals.
