I found something similar to that in an old yard here in Indiana, only the one I found was almost twice the size of a silver dollar and made of some sort of base metal, (like pewter). The funny thing is is that I don't think it had a death date on it, but still I think someone told me that it was probably from a world fair. I'd definitely look into it....
