Question for the Forum!

May 08, 1998 at 07:39:10

Hello Everyone,

I've been detecting well over a year and all my fines have ranged from 1" to 6". Usually it hovers around the 1" to 3" range. There has come times when I've hit a target that I've dug well over 18" and still never have found the item. My question is, When is it time to call it quits? I hate to dig such a deep hole. Now if I was out in a field or woods, I probably won't care as much, but when your at a park, I think people might frown on seeing this huge pile of dirt near your hole. Would love to hear your comments on this and also what your average range is on finds. Im using a Garretts Freedom Ace. Thank you in advence for your comments!
