Steve: I've detected in L.A., Florida and NYC with a couple of trips to upstate New York. I don't believe I have yet been in a place where there were deep coins. I don't remember removing a coin or other item any deeper than 5"-6" in discriminate. I think that's the limit of my Mark I Ltd. In L.A. I did mostly little parks, sidewalk strips, and a couple of lawns. No deep coins. In Florida I did a small park with a bandshell, didn't produce anything let alone deep coins. Here in NYC, most if not all of the parks are manmade which means no deep coins as they are maintained. Riverside Park was built over railroad tracks, definitely no deep ones there either. I guess one has to go where years of falling leaves covers the coins deeper than where the site is maintained. I know that in ALL METALS I can find the deep ones too, but who hunts in AM in city parks, specifically NYC parks?
