The coin seems to be a reference to some sort of pretender, a counterfeit or false prophet. The reference to Asherah is a pole that used to be erected for pagan ceremony to the deity Asherah. As for the reference to the Matt. verse, it is probably meant to be aimed at 27:63 & 64, the false rising of a messiah of which the romans were speaking. In regard to bad fruit... every good tree brings forth good fruit, but, a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.

I think the coin is a cheat... one of the little holy ones was using the coin as a reminder for a test of some kind. The scriptures referenced are not linked in teaching other than the "deception" or accusation of it, and that's a stretch.
