Being someone of more heathen persuasion, I sent on the info from your token to an Md'ing acquaintance who is a minister to see what he could make of it. Here's his take on it as it was e-mailed to me.

This is a really weird piece. I looked up the scripture references and they don't make a whole lot of sense, at least not in the context of figs. Matthew 27:64 has to do with the Jews asking the Romans to place a guard over Jesus' tomb so that he "wouldn't get away." Isaiah 40:20 has to do with finding a good tree with which to make an idol out of. And then Deuteronomy 16:21 has to do with God forbiding the Jews to plant an Asherah next to the altar of God. The Asherah were personifications of a female deity which they would worship with orgies (got your attention, huh?) The theme would be about idols and I believe that is what is meant by the bad figs. If Israel was behaving themselves and serving God they were viewed as good figs, but if they were disobeying God then they were looked upon as figs that had gone bad and were useless to everyone.

It could be that it is Masonic, seeing as they have some strange symbology that I don't even come close to understanding or knowing. Strange some of the things that come up under our coils, huh?
