Hi all....I've been on vacation for the last week and am way behind on posts. I did get to hunt my 100 year old house while I was off and found several wheats (1920's mostly), a few merc's, and a token. On the front around the edges it reads "12th PRESIDENT, U.S.A. 1849 1850" "ZACHARY TAYLOR", with a picture of Taylor in the center. On the back around the edges it reads "OLD ZACH" "HERO OF MEXICAN WAR'!" In the center it reads "ROUGH AND READY. A SOLDIER IN WAR OF 1812. ALSO IN BLACK HAWK SEMINOLE AND MEXICAN WARS. FORTY YEARS MILITARY SERVICE." It appears to have had at one time a gold plating on it. There are traces of it around the lettering. Feels and looks as though it made of copper. Found at 6" with Tesoro Bandido uMax. Will try to post a picture in the future. Any info appreciated (value?). This is my first token find.
