Hi Ron: In 1993 at a sidewalk construction site I found a Pan-American Exposition token similar in some respects to yours. The front has the guy with the dove in front of the buffalo and the exposition name. The reverse has "Gold Medal* Pan American Exposition 1901* Awarded to John Labatt, London, Canada* For Best Ale & Porter". I have not really done any research on this but I would guess that they must have made these bronze replicas of the gold medals and passed them out or sold them as souvenirs. I'm afraid this isn't much help but maybe someone else on the forum will have some additional information..... Don
