Seated Liberty or not?

September 17, 1998 at 14:20:08

Im still extremely new to the hobby (Sport ;) of metal detecting, so im not an expert on coins yet, however I do have a coin I would like identified.

On the front it says Georgius III R?X It has a picture of a guy with ribbons in his hair. On the back it has what appears to be a seated liberty however the coin appears to say britt---- (could be brittania?) and is clearly dated 1777.

Lemme know if you can figure out what it is.
