I'd start with any old (or current) 25th Ward boundary of Cincinnatti, Ohio. All municipalities are drawn and quartered into political boundaries called wards. Dickmeier was most likely a shopkeeper of some sort within that area. Major cities commonly had annual directories listing all the shops and their proprietors back in the days before phones were in wide use or even invented, and these directories survive at historical societies, so these people can often be looked up.
