While detecting a local park, I found a large Marine Corps ring, with no initials or name on it. It appears to be silver/white gold looking but there is no marking on the inside. Does anyone know what these rings are made of, or the approximate value?

PS I placed an Found ad in the local newspaper to see if I could locate the owner, its too nice a ring to lose.
