my third indian head penny

Today I found my third Indian Head penny, it was a 1897. the one I found last Sunday was a 1896. They were within fifteen feet of eachother!! But the best thing about this Indian Head is that is in GREAT condition, You can read the full LIBERTY on the headband and there is little to no wear on the coin. I was wondering if that meant that the coin was probably in the ground the majority of its life since it is in such good condition. Any info on this will be greatly appreciated.-----Chris D.
