Make sure it is the current issue as they are still using a lot ofthe older stuff.

I think the current issue for U.S. and NATO is made by Scheikler (or something like that-I would have to look it up) is Austria, and is a pulse type unit, or at least partly or semi-pulse.

There are lots of new prototypes due to the various governments spending big bucks for mine clearance--Most of Europe, US, and Australia have on-going programs. One conclusion is that there is only so much you can do with straight metal detectors since most mines are mostly non-metallic.

There is an active German newsgroup on demining. Although most is sociological and humanitarian, some word gets through on detection. Let me know if you want the address.
