Hi Chauncey, I hate to use the word expert, because an expert can be cought with a twisty question and then he looks very much like everyone else. Let's just say, like a fool, I envested $40,000 and scads time to come up with the solution. The LUE isn't like any other code I have ever worked on. It certainly was far different than the Drake code and the Neahkahnie Oregon code. The LUE deliberately gives you information and then destroys your chance of using it. For example the LUE gives you two co-ordinates and when you get there with a smile on your face, you find that this is just where the search begins after all of that work. Do you quit and go home or dig into your pocket and go for the next nine yards? Chauncey, I agree with you on one aspect of the LUE. I too only had Von Mueller's LUE in his Treasure Hunter's Manuel #7, on page 110. I, like you, agreed with all that I heard about the LUE from others. After all, at that time, I didn't know zip about it. I had to use common assumptions to get started. I, too, heard that Von Mueller made the LUE on purpose for his book. Here is where I am different from other hunters. I used my invention NERS to point out a land mass for study in Gold rejection. I tossed out every story I had that couldn't help me with this land location, until I was looking eye ball to eye ball with the LUE map. I gulped and said Gees, this must be it? I didn't know where to start. Yet, part of it was easier than I thought. Having the knowledge of the land that the code protected really made it rather easy to work the code in reverse. No code is designed to be operated this way. In 6 weeks I had the co-ordinates that gave me the same land mass I was standing on. So, this enlightenment told me what the Treasure MAY be worth. Assuming that it was 16 tons or more of gold bullion. The carrot was before the ole horse now. But as I say, this was only the start of the LUE decoding process. The code wasn't suppose to be cracked, obviously, by anyone. In conclusion there are two important physical objects on that land that prove positively to anyone privileged that this code applies only to that land and to no other place in the world. In Getting back to one of your statememts, if Von Muller made this map for fun, I have been stiffed! But I don't think so, because the original land controller was a German. What are the odds of that being the case when dealing with a German contraband case??? Most of the answers will come out in the recovery. Here's the big question: Is the box full of worms or is the box full of gold bullion? Time will tell. I hope this answered some of your questions. Richard
