I am a long term treasure hunter with White's machines. My current detector of choice is the Spectrum de-tuned to minimize filtering and other "discriminate" features. Basically all-metal but in motion mode.

I am interested how my machine would compare to the top of the line Minelab, multiple frequencies. The question comes out of a contact in Australia who advised me to leave my machine at home because the boys in Australia like to 'bush' for gold with the Minelab. He said nothing else can compare to the Minelab.

Any information would be greatly appreciated: Either actual field comparison or technical aspects.
