Tom, generally, a square means an object or place. The pecked out part could mean a "wet place" or "nothing there," something may have been there but is now gone. The "V" generally means "open," in this case, if it's upside down, it could mean closed. The 2 lines coming down from the top could represent a tunnel or path. The two round circles generally represent eyes. If they are circles, not pecked in, it means you are to look for something, generally the eyes point in the direction you are to look. If they are pecked in, it generally means there is nothing there to see. Hope this may help. ...... Stan
