thanks for the responce guys.i am in the southern part of n.y.s. and during the revolution there were highwaymen active in this region.in fact or so i read there wasa gang that were the first to earn the namecowboys because they stole cattle from the patriots and sold them to the british.i knowits like looking for a needle in a haystackbut i like to take breaks from my usual hunting and go in the woods.there are old dirt roads that are no longer used but these gangs and travelers did.even though i do not findany thing it is thrilling to poke my coilin the little caves that dot the region.some times i see glacier erratics that sends my imagination spinning because you never knowwho would make a safety deposit and leave a marker even the rare (in my region) conquistador. good hunting!!!!!
