TSr,

Remember seeing these types of trees in Washington state (Ft. Lewis) about 25 yrs ago. The explanation given to me had something to do with the Indians in that area tying them down purposely in that configuaration; exactly why I do not recall. Evidently, not isoated to the above mentioned areas. CJ
