A hand is a good sign! The Rebel Underground used almost every thing you can imagine as cluesin laying out their treasure depositories. Many of the signs are actually Indian signs as the group contained and was trained by many Cherokee/Choctaw/Chickasaw mixed bloods. The warriors who fought with Gen. Standwatie in the Indian Brigade made up a large part of the secret postwar organization. That should explain why I. T. (OK) is still a hotbed for Rebel Treasure.
