Hillbilly Bob, your always a breath of fresh air and a geltleman about it. Thanks for sharing.
In regard to the Beal Treasure. I'm an arm chair observer here with this issue. I posted this before some time ago. In Treasure magazine beginning August 1982 for about three issues, it said that the Beale Treasure was found. After I made that poston Treasure net, a member of the family wrote me e-mail and said "yeah, that was about the way it happened."
Anyway, after all that has been written pro and con about the Beale incident I know there will be many die hards Beale Treasure searchers out there.
Here is the vitals: Somehow a member of the Beale family heard or read some of the articles about the Beale Treasure.
The Family had the original bible of Thomas Fefferson Beale, or what ever his name was. Within the bible was some strange symbols etc. The family member that put the two together contacted a Beale code expert, And low and behold, they now had the key to the remaining missing code enigma (just where the loot was located).
Within these Treasure Magazine articles, the vault was water sealed and under water all of the time. this is why so many people failed to find it.
The treasure was taken out. The place where the Treasure was found was not described nor was the value of the recovered treasure passed out.
I was pretty sold, as a professional arm chair observer, to all of this talk over the years that this key and where it came from was truely there answer that everyone has been searching for.
I know that the rambling stories will still continue about the Beale incident and the books will still be sold about the Beale enigma. But believe it, THE BIRD IS GONE!
Richard
