Pardon me fellers if somehow I gave you the idea this treasure was located by dowsing. I have re-read the post and it clearly says a "map reader" not a dowser deciphered the map and learned where the treasure was located. Practically every treasure map uses cryptic symbols, signs, codes or ciphers in its construction. A map reader is someone that can solve all the little puzzles and tricks and find out what the map really is saying. The man who worked the map is a treasure map specialist who can actually read the ciphers and symbols used by those who buried this treasure. This map reader has broken the codes or ciphers for evey treasure map he's seen. Several caches have come to light due to his interpretation of treasure markings and maps. Sorry if this dampens you excitement about the story but there was absolutely no map dowsing used here.
