I am pretty sure that the Schaeffer's got all the books as they had rather grubstaked Frank up in Amador.

They were up at the site very soon after the murder (or whatever). Of course, this is chronicled in the "Dead Men Do Tell Tales." One story says that some of the best stuff was taken either by the murderer (if one) or by locals after the death was discovered. Who knows?

Of course, Erie Lake S. has been gone for 10-15 years. About six years ago a family friend stopped by and sold us a bunch of the original Fish book but indicated that Erie's book was completely OP. Erie's husband was still alive at that time but very feeble.

It is still possible that you can reach the family at the address on the books in Chino, CA. The daughter at one time expressed some interest in reprinting the Fish book but thought it would sell for $15-20 (??). Let me know if you get in touch with them.

Steve
