We both agree there were two lost Adams diggings, separated by 15-18 years. There are many, many well-documented instances of Apaches killing prospectors during this era in AZ/NM. Two of them involved main characters named Adams.
If I read your last post correctly, you are speculating that the 1846 Adams and the 1864 Adams are the same person, and therefore that the two lost diggings sites are the same. You will have to provide some strong evidence to support this theory, which sounds like an attempt to attach the possible solving of the 1846 lost mine location to the 1864 "Lost Adams Diggings" enigma based solely upon the common surname (Adams).
