But Don there is no historic documentation to support any of the legends. There is a similar story that DeSoto found gold in Arkansas also, But again there is nothing to support that. There are a lot of Spanish Carvings in Ark. But those were made by subsequent search parties in the 1600 and 1700 era. I wouldn't waste time on the story Don. Lou
