Re: I Got a derrrotero of Pedro Nevarez in Satevo ,Chihuahua July 22, 2001 at 15:04:18 In Reply to: I Got a derrrotero of Pedro Nevarez in Satevo ,Chihuahua posted by Alejandro Lopez on July 11, 2001 at 16:31:15 "El Chato" or Pedro Nevarez was a real person--and there are many copies of his map floating around, which was supposedly found in a convent in Old Mexico---The treasure is located in the Sierra de los Organos ( Organ Mtns.) of New Mexico-----most likely within Soledad Canyon, near it's eastern end--- Unfortunately, like so many treasure sites in that state, it is on military land, and 'off-limits' to everyone except curious soldiers !
