The turtle and hand are both treasure markings common to the Confederate Underground Army. After the War of Yankee Aggression, this secret army buried tons of treasure in order to keep it out of Yankee hands. Gold, silver, and jewels were buried along with weapons, canned food, medical supplies etc., in ingeniously designed depositories located in militarily strategic areas across America. The close knit secret society of unreconstructed Rebels had intentions of re-commencing hostilities with the blue bellies when enough money was collected to purchase weaponry equal or superior to the Yankee arsenal. The turtle is the key symbol rerquired to begin deciphering the scope and size of a depository.. No, you do not follow the head to gold!
