FMDAC National Board's TOTAL Disregard of the Bylaws I recently emailed the True Facts surrounding my removal as MAECC President. This email provides the facts about the National FMDAC Officers TOTAL disregard of the Bylaws and Code of Conduct to accomplish their own personal agendas. If you wish to view the Bylaws quoted go to FMDAC.com, organization, bylaws. I could not find the Code of Conduct posted on their site. I guess they wish to keep secret the gauge of their performance. Article XII Discipline states: 1. A charge against a member club or board member of professional dishonesty working against the principles and purpose of the Federation, and/or injuring the professional standing of a member club may be filed in a written statement, signed by five (5) member clubs in good standing, to the Board of Directors. 2. A charge of violation of the "Code of Conduct" by any National Officer, Member of the Board of Directors or Chapter Officer may be filed in written statement by any FMDAC National Officer in good standing to the Board of Directors. This Article of the Bylaws was totally ignored by the National Officers in that NO member clubs or National Officer submitted a written charge of misconduct against me. Federation Code of Conduct Persons holding leadership positions in the Federation structure, whether elected or appointed, are to personally comport themselves in a manner that upholds high standards. The opposite of this would be considered 'Conduct Unbecoming" a person holding a position in the Federation. In the event an incident considered a violation of this code is brought to the attention of the Board, two-thirds voting, censure may be imposed. If the incident is considered by the Board to be a serious violation of this code, a three-fourths vote of the Board may remove the individual from his or her position. If the person removed is a Chapter President, the Board may appoint the Vice President to become President. If the person removed is one of the four national elected officers, the Board may vote a replacement who will serve until the next election cycle. According to the Code of Conduct, the so called charges stated against me by Duane ARE NOT a violation of it. His appointment of Harry as MAECC President is also a clear violation of the last paragraph of the Code of Conduct and Article VI, Section B 2. Succession. It clearly states the Vice President is next in line to fill the position. The Bylaws and Code of Conduct clearly state the procedures to be followed. It is also very clear that Duane as President and the other 3 National Officers have a TOTAL disregard for the Bylaws and Code of Conduct upon which the Federation was founded. It is now up to you the members that form the Federation to make the call. You can boycott joining the Federation until these Officers that misused their officer for their own personal agenda resign. Or you can join and thus condone their MISCONDUCT, in which case your morals are no better than the National Officers. Now is your chance to be heard and get the Federation back to its founding purpose. By now I'm sure you all have received Duane's response stating that they acted in accordance with the Bylaws. If so where are the written allegations as required in the Bylaws? This statement he made is an outright contradiction of the Bylaws! How can you trust anything Duane says!!! Carol Schick Below is the post my husband made over his concerns for personal information required on the membership list. Given FMDAC President Duane Biller's proven record of lies and deceit against not only MAECC President Carol Schick, but also Candidate Bob Sloan and numerous other witnessed acts; I have serious concern over the need for the new membership list. FMDAC membership now requires a by name list with personal information to receive a plastic card with your name imprinted. These cards cost over $1000 plus imprinting fees of your membership monies, which I'm sure could be used for more constructive matters. For almost 20 years the joining clubs sent in their dues and received paper membership cards that were distributed to their members. I wonder why this is no longer acceptable? Could it be because Duane's job is as a show promoter and he KNOWS the income potential from the sale of a mailing list? The steady decline in FMDAC membership over the past few years has caused a serious cash flow problem. This appears to be a continuing trend with many clubs dropping their FMDAC membership like "hot rocks". Last year the US Government reported 160,000 cases of Identity Theft requiring 175 hours each to correct. While I'm sure White's intentions are honorable, it is a proven fact that Duane CANNOT be trusted!!! I would guard my personal information like gold. Also, I've just read the FMDAC Bylaws, and nowhere is the submission of personal information required for membership!!! |
