Hey Marc, Yeah, I feel the forums here have degenerated to the point I no longer have much interest in visiting them. I've gotten to the point where I can hit the threads page, glance at the subject and poster ID, and hit the back button quicker'n a New York minute. I'm not sure what your intent was when you initially set up the forums, but I thought they were provided for exchange of information between serious treasure hunters, NOT as a soapbox for disgrunteled wannabes and naysayers promoting a personal agenda with no positive input. So I lurk, read what may be informational (poster ID indicates) and click on... which, of course, results in a lower number of hits on your site. Ergo, fewer hits, fewer sponsors promoting products. It's a direct business impact for you... IF you restructure any/all forums, there are a number of us who would appreciate a LRL forum WITHOUT the constant interference of those who find it impossible to entertain the possibility of remote/long range locating. There ARE individuals who do not find it necessary to debate why something cannot be measured/proven/disproven/can't/can/why/why not, etc... something works for some of us, and not for others. The attacking and defending detracts from the purpose of the forum, which, IMHO, should be a free exchange of information individuals derive from research and personal experience. Some of us would like to exchange info and ideas without all the background noise. For what it's worth... to you personnaly, in a business sense, and to those who hold a positive interest in an idea and practice which has not or can not be proven or disproven. Robin |
