Brian, where abouts in Indiana do you live? Let me say that without some better technology your chances arent good. It sounds like you have some good leads but you will find that most of these are beyond the detection depth of a metal detector. I did exactly what you are wanting to do years ago, I slept in the woods with a mesh net hammock, hikes through forests, beat down the brush and searched endlessly with a metal detector, to have success in this venture you need to upgrade to some form of mfd/lrl and use it in conjunction with your detector, at least this way you will have a fighting chance, you will find that most of these treasures are going to be several feet below your detection capability, for instance Badz wrote about the Phillipines, well the Japanese used engineers and slave labor to dig complex underground tunnel networks to hide their war plunder, you'd be lucky to find c-ration cans that the soldiers discarded. If your serious about stepping up to the next level then do a little research into technology before you waste to much time in your searching. J
