Great post and pictures. I could look at that kind of stuff all day long. Very cool. The amount of nails you found is incredible. I like the asst'd glass pieces too.
Thanks for sharing,

Why that was the best "junk find" post I have seen! You are organized, you been sneaking a peek at how I organize things? ;)

I think your ceramic pieces are keepers, I have seen others use the pieces for artwork, so you never know.

Ah, now that you have a great photo record of your finds, I think I would now discard of some of them, like the shell casings. :)

Excellent post!!!!!!!

Lara,

Wow, very impressive even for "junk" finds.
Your stuff looks so much more interesting than the junk I've found.

Well done! I love how you displayed the items. I really like the bottles of old nails, it's a great decorative idea. I have similar atlas jars filled with the usual suspects, marbles and old pennies, but I hadn't considered the old nails, they do look good, I might do that too.

Country Girl your line about your husband saying it's still junk even though you've painted it gave me a nice laugh. His comments remind me in a way of my wife who refuses to let me take any items I find beyond our 3 season room, never into the house. She can't see beyond the junk, it's treasure I tell her!
You just might create something really artistic though if you combine the right colors and shapes.

Looks like you got real busy last year! Isn't it funny how most dug silverware is all bent up... :-\ I can say that I find a lot of the same items here in NH...

If you take a wire wheel to the iron it cleans up pretty nice ;)

Thanks for sharing and best of luck diggin' more great stuff this year! :D
