2007..... My first year on Treasurenet and first year of putting any real effort into metal detecting (I bought the XLT a few years ago and never found much with it in Washington state). Now that I am in upstate New York, the old finds are starting to pop up as I learn more about my detector and where to look.

My totals for 2007 are not the best but I am content with them and looking forward to finding even more in 2008!

Also I have received some great coins as gifts or trades for dug relics

and got a chance to try electrolysis on some cookie coins from the Shark Pit.

The Standing liberty is in bad shape, as rtde3 says most Shark Pit cookies are.
I believe it is a 1917 type one based on what is left of the date and the absence of 3
stars beneath the eagle on the reverse. I was hoping it was a 1916 at first, but because
of the condition it is in, I am glad its not.
