Another really great year! Some bright spots:

- Finding a new casino that featured penny slots

- Discovering more half dollar machines in Downtown Vegas casinos

- Meeting Minnesota's own GMan, the King of Search

- Nevada State Bank's free coin counters, a godsend!

Now on to the totals!

***PENNIES***

Wheats: 142 total, 43 different dates/mintmarks out of a possible 140 (31%), not bad. The oldest, 1913 found on March 20th, held on as the oldest coin of the year.

Proof: 1986-S

vs. 2006: Beat last year's wheat total by 2

***NICKELS***

Buffalos: 1923, 1924, 1936 (2), 1936-S

Jeffersons: The whole series except six: 1938-D, 1939-D, 1939-S, 1942-S, 1943-D, 1950-D.

Counted pre-1960s for the first time and ended up with 1042, roughly 90 per month. If I hadn't laid off nickels for a brief period over the summer I probably would've averaged 100/month.

Wartime silver (35): 1942-P (2), 1943-P (10), 1943-S (5), 1944-P (4), 1944-D (2), 1944-S (1), 1945-P (6), 1945-D (3), 1945-S (2)

Proof: 1981-S

Completed my 1951-S roll, the 41st out of 50 possible non-siver dates.

vs. 2006: Tied last year's Buffalo total and beat last year's silver total of 24.

***DIMES***

Only did a couple of boxes this year but they paid off. A 1939 Mercury became my new oldest dime.

Silver Roosies: 1947-D, 1947-S, 1964-D

vs. 2006: Didn't even do dimes last year so this is tops and hopefully an easy mark to pass in 2008.

***QUARTERS***

Five 90%ers: 1942, 1949, 1956-D, 1957, 1964-D

vs. 2006: A tie, but last year I also found a Barber and a dateless Standing Liberty. It's all good though.

***HALVES***

Franklins: Eight, twice as many as last year. 1951 was the oldest.

90% JFK: 28, beats 2006's 17

40% JFK: 401, about half last year's 871

Proof: 27, almost double last year

NIFC: 81 - these were running neck-and-neck with proofs all year but in December I started finding these in slots a lot more frequently. I wonder if the Fed did a drop of some mint bags in Vegas...

vs. 2006: The key difference was Nov. 2006's amazing casino cache that netted me hundreds in the 11th hour. I'm more than happy with a one-40%-per-day average.

Silver content value: $1,115.13 [using $14.77/oz]
Silver face value: $221.90 [481 coins]
Profit:
[green]$893.23[/green] ;D

***CANADIAN***

Pennies: Oldest --> 1957. I'm going to track these a lot more carefully next year. I'd love to know how many different dates I got.

Nickels: Oldest --> 1962. A total of 77 were gleaned from Vegas slots. Will track dates next year but not totals.

Special thanks to GMan and Pennyworth for fleshing out my Canadian dime and quarter collections with some good trades.

***FOREIGN***

Oldest --> 1958 Germany 2 pfennig

Added three new countries to my "Found in Slots" roster: Russia, Sweden and Turkey

Other countries showing up: Barbados, China, Great Britain, Guatemala, Mexico, Netherlands and Panama

That's it!

On to 2008! Good luck in the new year everyone!
