2007 Totals..

2007 Was a good year as far as numbers, but less than 60(58) silver and far short of my goal of 100. If I hadn't found 15 silver coins the last week it would have been even worse. This was also my worst year for silver and gold items. I think of the seventy rings I found less than 20 were gold or silver! For coins, my best year since my days when I lived in Va Beach!! I found 9784 coins with a face value of: $828.44. I found 1771 clad quarters, 2304 clad dimes, and 1555 clad nickels. Those three totals beat my goals set. I set goals of 1500 for quarters, 2000 for dimes, and 1000 for nickels!! I also fell far short of 500 wheats this year as well, finding only 207(33 the last week of the year). My favorite find of the year had the be the 1830 Bust Half Dollar, one of two Bust coins I found! So now I've got to set my goals for next year and see what happens.

I could probably find the posts where I pictured the rings when found. Most gold and silver rings were either given away, returned, or sold. I don't keep the junk rings I find either(which at least 50 were), they go in a 5 gallon bucket and sold as scrap. Everything I dig is recycled one way or another. As many nickels and pulltabs as I dug I would have thought a higher gold count. That wasn't the story in 2007, but there is always 2008!!

Great finds for the year Jack, even if you missed on some of your goals. The rings are very nice and the 1830 half is a beauty wtg.

Some awesome once in a lifetime finds. That bust half is a jawdropper. Not many can say they have found a bust coin yet alone a bust half!

Jack first I wanted to take the time to thank you for the support all year long...the private messages the advice...me trying to push and catch your clad amount...well I got you on the coin total...ended with 11,553...but as close as I got a couple times could not catch your clad amount but it was fun trying...I ended year with $751.86.... Hey fantastic year...and hopefully another one is here...I am sure we will talk in 08....
