Hello all
Well this concludes my first year of metal detecting. It was a great year and I wish I have picked up the hobby earlier. Being in Germany has added even more to the adventure. Recent cold weather has made it difficult to dig in the frozen dirt, its hard just to sit home.
I'm really happy with the White's XLT and would recommend it to anyone. As for pin pointer the Virba Probe has been a winner.
The following picture of finds (sorted) are a review of the finds from 2007...enjoy.
Last finds of the year(part19) some clad, cross and unit crest.
Unit crests, insignia, badges
Die cast cars (sorry kids) and alot of ammo brass
Ammo, musket balls, grenade parts, stripper clips and other hardware
Buttons (mostly military) old and new
Keys, Keys (returned some to housing office)
My more precious pieces, silver coins, old coins, gold, lead seal, lead soldiers and WWII ID tags
Sliver coins, ID tags and lead seals
Jewelry, fake and real NOT SHOWN 1 High School ring returned to Maine and two wedding rings returned to owners
Clad and Euro..did not have time to count (a couple thousand pieces) those piles are 2 inches deep and that tray weights around 40 pounds.
Misc coins, US, French, British, Wheat, Nazi, old and new.
Non-MD..the head Sergeant Major at my unit had theses helmets in a storage room that he received many years ago from a German soldier, he passed them to me. They need some TLC
